Book Trailer Thursday: RABBIT & POSSUM

A timeless tale of an unlikely yet endearing friendship, Rabbit & Possum (Greenwillow Books) is a small, seemingly unassuming story that takes on a big question: How do we celebrate our differences and learn to work together?

Rabbit and Possum could not be more different, so when the cautious Possum ends up in a sticky situation, the two friends must work together to find a common solution. The story is a positive and creatively-oriented take on two very different personalities, and the friendship that unites them. Debut author Dana Wulfkotte’s illustrations are cheery and upbeat, her story equally so; a simultaneous celebration of individuality and compromise.

As Anita Lock writes of Wulfkotte in her Booklist review: “Her cartoon artwork, set in woodsy scenes in a fitting palette of natural tones, amps up the humor with the expressive faces of the two friends with polar-opposite personalities. Kids will have an easy time relating to this funny friendship story.”

About the Author:

Ada Wolin is a recent graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she received a BFA in writing. If she's not reading, she's probably hanging out with her cats, listening to music (loudly), or watching old movies. Or some combination of the three.
