Stephen King Loves Audiobooks. Do You?

AudiobookerStephen King is just one of 16 notable authors and narrators extolling the virtues of audiobooks for the Audio Publishers Association’s public awareness campaign. Launched last week to coincide with vacation time, when listening spikes, “A Good Audiobook Speaks Volumes” consists of short, punchy video clips perfect for social media.

To promote your library’s downloadable and CD collections, visit the APA’s Audiobook Community YouTube page to grab the embed code and share. You can follow Audiobook Community on Facebook or Twitter to learn about new videos as they are posted. So far, in addition to Stephen King, Tyler Oakley, Whoopi Goldberg, Chelsea Clinton, Brad Thor, Francesca Serritella, Barbara Rosenblat, Lisa Scottoline, Jordanna Max Brodsky, Sean Patrick Flanery, Tim Federle, Karen Commins, Andrew Solomon, Jim Meskimen, and Lisa Genova have each made a video. In the coming weeks, watch for clips from Kim Stanley Robinson, Douglas Preston, Brad Meltzer, David Levithan, J.A. Jance, Delia Ephron, and Justin Cronin. Why not challenge your patrons to submit their own videos about the reasons they #loveaudiobooks?
