Winners of the 2017 Dayton Literary Peace Prize Announced

The Dayton Literary Peace Prize, which recognizes writers whose works advocate peace, social justice and global understanding, today announced its 2017 winners. Patricia Engel’s The Veins of the Oceanthis year’s fiction winner, traces the aftermath of a terrible crime. In What Have We Done, nonfiction winner and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist David Wood offers a complicated portrait of the aftermath of war on those who fight.
