This Week on Well Read TV: Ann Cleeves Talks about COLD EARTH

Mystery Month 2017This week on Well Read—just in time for Booklist’s annual Mystery Month—award-winning crime-writer Ann Cleeves will be speaking with hosts Elisa Jaffe and Mary Anne Gwinn about her latest novel, Cold Earth, released April 18. The seventh book in Cleeve’s wildly popular Shetland series, Cold Earth zeroes in on inspector Jimmy Perez’s hunt for the identity of a recently deceased woman in the wake of a devastating landslide. In the video clip above, Cleeves discusses the implications of this landslide. “I thought [it] was a very good metaphor for fractured communities and fractured families,” she says.

To watch her full conversation with Jaffe and Gwinn, check your public television affiliate’s schedule and World Channel beginning this Friday, May 12.
