This Week on Well Read TV: Katie Kitamura Talks about A SEPARATION

This week on Well Read, author-journalist Katie Kitamura will be speaking with hosts Elisa Jaffe and Mary Anne Gwinn about her third work of fiction, A Separation, released February 7. In this “probing psychological tale,” an unnamed narrator treks to Greece in search of her estranged husband, Christopher. Expecting to find him researching mourning rituals for an upcoming book—and to finally file for divorce—she finds instead something far more unsettling. In the video clip above, Kitamura discusses both the book’s “constellation of relationships” as well as the importance of “the idea of secrets that remain secrets.”

To watch her full conversation with Jaffe and Gwinn, check your public television affiliate’s schedule and World Channel beginning this Friday, March 3.
