This Week on Well-Read TV: Alexander McCall-Smith Talks about PRECIOUS AND GRACE

This week on Well Read, bestselling author of the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series, the Isabel Dalhousie series, the Portuguese Irregular Verbs series, the 44 Scotland Street series, and the Corduroy Mansions series Alexander McCall-Smith will be speaking with hosts Elisa Jaffe and Mary Anne Gwinn about his latest novel, Precious and Grace (2016), released October 11. This seventeenth installment of McCall Smith’s wildly popular No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency shows the prickly, comic-yet-loving relationship between Mma Precious Ramotswe, who founded and owns the only detective agency in Botswana, and Mma Grace Makutsi, Precious’ one-time secretary and now co-director.

To watch her full conversation with Jaffe and Gwinn, check your public television affiliate’s schedule and World Channel beginning this Friday, November 18.
