This Week on Well Read TV: Robert Moor Talks about On Trails

This week on Well Read, environmental journalist Robert Moor will be speaking with hosts Elisa Jaffe and Mary Anne Gwinn about his debut title, On Trails: An Exploration (2016), released in July. Inspired by his 2009 trek through the Appalachian Trail, On Trails explores “the nature and history of trailmaking,” from 565 million year-old seabed and Cherokee footpaths to the Newfoundland coast. In the video clip above, Moor discusses the “infinite choices” that go into creating a single trail—and how they inspired him to write his book.

To watch his full conversation with Jaffe and Gwinn, check your public television affiliate’s schedule and World Channel beginning this Friday, September 16.
