The second annual National Readathon Day is fast approaching—mark your calendars for Saturday, May 21, when you can join readers across the county in celebration of that very special activity—reading.
If you are a library, school, or bookstore planning a reading party, be sure to e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to have your event publicized. Then readers can find activities happening in their area.
Created as an initiative of the American Library Association and Penguin Random House, National Readathon Day is also a day to give. Donated funds go to the American Library Association’s Every Child Ready to Read program, which supports young readers from birth to age five through initiatives that engage with parents and communities to build early literacy skills. Consider donating today.
