Book Trailer Thursday: Snappsy the Alligator (Did Not Ask to Be in This Book)

This week on BTT, we celebrate the first-ever Booklist Spotlight on Humor. . .-ous Alligators! Snappsy, of Snappsy the Alligator (Did Not Ask to Be in This Book) (Penguin), didn’t ask to be in this book trailer either, and yet. . . Here, as in the book, a narrator takes control of the scene, adding a flourish here and there and convincing Snappsy to do a little more than make a sandwich while we readers/viewers look on.

Booklist reviewer Terry Hong says, “Falatko’s debut picture book is a truly laugh-out-loud, mischievous romp, made gleefully goofier by Miller’s straitlaced, deadpan animal characters.” The trailer’s narrator says this is “the best book trailer in the history of book trailers.” And now you have all the facts.
