This Week on Well Read TV: Sara Benincasa Talks about D.C. Trip

This week on Well Read, comedian and author Sara Benincasa will be speaking with hosts Terry Tazioli and Mary Anne Gwinn about her most recent novel, D.C. Trip (2015). Benincasa has appeared everywhere from NBC’s Today Show to a sudsy bathtub with Neil Gaiman (see her YouTube series, Gettin’ Wet with Sara Benincasa). Partially inspired by her experience as a former public-school teacher, D.C. Trip is a candid coming-of-age tale that blends teenage angst with adult insecurities. In the video clip above, Benincasa answers readers’ questions, including, “As a field trip counselor . . . How do you handle a lot of mean teenage girls?”

To watch her full conversation with Tazioli and Gwinn, check your public television affiliate’s schedule for this Friday, February 5th.
