2015 National Outdoor Book Award Winners

As the air gets crisp and snow is already falling in some parts of the U.S., it’s the perfect time to be thinking about the great outdoors—or getting out to experience it. That’s exactly what author Kim Heacox is doing. He’s enjoying the remote wilderness of Admiralty Island and has no contact with the outside world. And, unlike you, he has no idea that his book Jimmy Bluefeather has won an award. The National Outdoor Book Awards announced their 2015 winners on their website this week, with Heacox and other aficionados of the natural world recipients of the prize. All the winners are listed below, linked to their Booklist reviews where available.
