This Week on Well Read TV: Annie Jacobsen Talks about The Pentagon’s Brain

This week on Well Read, New York Times–bestselling author Annie Jacobsen will be speaking with hosts Terry Tazioli and Mary Anne Gwinn about her recently published book, The Pentagon’s Brain: An Uncensored History of DARPA, America’s Top-Secret Military Research Agency (2014). Drawing on declassified memos, private documents, and interviews with numerous researchers and scientists, Jacobsen offers a definitive history of the clandestine Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). In the video clip above, Jacobsen answers readers’ questions, starting with, “How many secondary sources do you need to validate the information you publish?”

To watch her full conversation with Tazioli and Gwinn, check your public television affiliate’s schedule for this Friday, October 30. (If you ask me, secretive government research into weird military stuff is as scary as any horror movie—Happy Halloween!)
