Some of the biggest crime fiction is perpetrated by some of the smallest players. We’re determined to shine the spotlight on them before they break out and wreak havoc across the whole country. Read them—before they publish again!

Ransom Note Press was founded in 2005 by two experienced editors, Christian Alighieri and Emily Marlowe, who shared a simple vision: to offer readers the finest in suspense and mystery novels. We like ambitious books in which the author respects the conventions of the genre while doing something different and exciting. Our editorial staff line-edits all of our manuscripts. Christian prefers edgy books with a strong voice; Emily likes traditional whodunnits with terrific plot twists. Among the favorite books we didn’t publish: Adam Ross’s Mister Peanut, Marissa Peshl’s Night Film, Blake Crouch’s Snowbound, and anything by Liza Cody.
We are distributed by Partners Publishers Group, and the books are therefore available through all the usual channels: Ingram, Baker & Taylor, BrodArt, and so on. All of our books are published as ebooks, too, for Kindle, Book, and iPad.
