Book Trailer Thursday: The Crossover

Riding the wave of excitement following Monday’s 2015 Youth Media Award announcements at ALA’s Midwinter Meeting in Chicago, I thought it would be fun to share a trailer for the winner of the 2015 John Newbery Medal: Kwame Alexander’s The Crossover. This five-minute, so-labeled extended version features two Kwames, and lots of happy kids, teachers, and librarians. (Some testimonials are pretty quiet, so have your volume control handy.) If you’ve yet to read the book, or if you want to learn more about it and “meet” its engaging author, this one’s for you.

And, as a #TBT for this #BTT, this video from a year ago has Alexander (times two, again) appealing to librarians, with a neat clip of him reading from the book.
