The Booklist Mystery Box: Enter #CostumesForBooks to Win!

The Booklist Mystery Box

Look at that box! Don’t you want to know what’s in it? Aren’t you just dying for a peek? Well, we’ll never divulge the contents, but we can tell you it’s worth having—and, if you can use scissors, construction paper, and a glue stick, you have an excellent chance of having the Booklist Mystery Box delivered to your door!

It’s #CostumesForBooks!

I don’t know about you, but most of us at Booklist just can’t seem to find the time, energy, or lack of self-consciousness to wear costumes for Halloween. But putting costumes on books? That’s a different matter entirely. If, like us, you think #CostumesForBooks makes a fun display for your library, office, treehouse, or secret lair, follow these simple steps for your chance to win:

  1. Make a book costume
  2. Put it on the book
  3. Take a picture
  4. Tweet the picture using the hashtag #CostumesForBooks, or post it on the Booklist Facebook page. (We’ll add the best entries to an album on our Facebook page.)
  5. Do it before 12 p.m. Central time on October 31, 2014.

Booklist’s own horror-meister Daniel Kraus will judge the entries, and the winner will be announced on @ALA_Booklist and the Booklist Facebook page between 2 and 3 p.m. on October 31. The winner will be contacted to provide their mailing address in order to receive the Booklist Mystery Box.
