Book Trailer Friday: The Book with No Pictures

If a Book Trailer Friday is the very thing you expected least today, it’s only in keeping with a trailer for a book you’d expect even least-er. Because it’s a picture book! With no pictures!

B.J. Novak’s The Book with No Pictures (Dial) indeed contains zero pictures. Instead, it has a whole bunch of silly words and sounds for a reader to say to his or her audience. In his review, Dan Kraus wrote: “kids will adore adults who commit to the ridiculous performance,” and the proof is in Novak’s own storytime pudding.

(And perhaps you saw this coming after all, as The Book with No Pictures currently sits atop a New York Times bestseller list—Children’s Picture Books, of course.)
