Dusty Book: Murder 101 by Maggie Barbieri

Murder 101 introduces series sleuth Alison Bargeron. It’s bad enough that the English professor’s car is stolen and she has to make an unweildy commute to the Bronx Catholic College where she teaches. But, when handsome police office Bobby Crawford arrives, its not to tell her that her car’s been found, it’s to inform her that she’s a suspect in the murder of the student found in her trunk. Oh, and she can’t even try and hide from her troubles by burying herself in her work because her sleazy ex-husband works at the same school. This smart, breezy series will appeal to fans of Nancy Martin’s Blackbird
Sisters mysteries.
