Web Crush of the Week: LibraryReads

libraryreadsThe best thing about LibraryReads is the awesome monthly recommendation list.  The second best thing is their tagline.  Not sure what LibraryReads is? It’s “the top ten books published this month that librarians across the country love.” Smart. Simple. Says it all. What’s behind this literary do-goodery? As they say, “First and foremost: we want to help connect our favorite books to as many readers as possible! And we want to showcase the incredible power that public library staff has in helping to building word-of-mouth for new books, and the important role we play in creating audiences for all kinds of authors.” So if, in any capacity as a librarian, you are asked to answer the question, “What’s good?” This is resource is a time save, a life saver, and readers’ advisory must-read.
