Web Crush of the Week: Forever Young Adult

foreverI may never say this again, but thank you Stephenie Meyers. Thank you for making it ok for grown women to openly read YA books. We no longer have to pretend that we’re reading them for work or to keep up with a child or precocious niece. Which is why it is equally liberating to get lost in the rich, pop culture wonderland and that is Forever Young Adult.

“Created in 2009, Forever Young Adult is a community for YA fans who are a little less “Y” and a bit more “A.” As the girlie counterpart to Badass Digest, FYA is a place where you can let your inner Lady Nerd loose and swoon over fictional characters without shame (while sipping on a cocktail). From book reviews to TV crushes to movie drinking games, it’s basically a non-stop internet slumber party, and you’re totally invited!”

Your average 14-year-old isn’t going to gush in her Amazon review that a character is totally Jordan Catalano but without the weird middle part. This is why you need to close your office door and spend the rest of your afternoon streaming the Pretty in Pink soundtrack and reading this site. (Oh, and of course, it totally helps you stay current with publishing trends and hone your readers’ advisory skills. Totally.)
