Humans. Could we be more fascinating?

gulpIf Mary Roach has taught us anything, it is that the answer is “no.” From digesting  to decomposing, we are terribly, terribly interesting. Like a Bill Bryson of the human body, Roach is talented tour guide and exceptional storyteller. Her latest Gulp: Adventures on the Alimentary Canal is enjoying its second week on the New York Times Bestseller list and will likely hang on through the summer. Readers who have had their appetite whetted for all things anatomical, will enjoy these other explorations.
