Cozy up to a great mystery!

Perfect timing for the just-announced nominations for the Agatha Awards, named for the grande dame of the poison pen. There’s nothing better than a cozy mystery on a winter’s day, and you don’t have to venture outside to download from your public library or online audiobook store. Take a look at all the nominees here

I have only listened to four of the nominees on the list, yet all four are some of my favorite titles from last year – a testement of how well a great mystery paired with a great narrator can be! I suspect you’ll find plenty of other great listens on the list, but I highly recommend these :

The Beautiful Mystery by Louise Penny, narrated by Ralph Cosham (nominated for Best Novel)

Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein, narrated by Morven Christie & Lucy Gaskell (nominated for Best Childrens/Young Adult Novel)

The Twelve Clues of Christmas by Rhys Bowen, narrated by Katherine Kellgren (nominated for Best Historical Novel)

Elegy for Eddie by Jacqueline Winspear, narrated by Orlagh Cassidy (nominated for Best Historical Novel)
