BiblioWeb: Keep Calm and Read On…

They’re reading some interesting things over at the Read On… blog for Lexington Public Library.

Just like we all can’t resist visiting each others libraries when we travel, I can’t resist looking at the suggested reading blogs maintained by libraries on the web.

The staff combine pithy annotations with appeal elements and then throw in some readalikes for titles and authors. They’re mixing it up with fiction, genre fiction, nonfiction, books for teens, and a good list of year-ending historical fiction.

Read On… appears to be a new blog, so don’t expect a great many posts when you toggle over for a visit. You can expect librarian-bloggers who know how to pitch a good read, though. Keep at it, LPL.
