Rudolph in the Dark

Cindy: I arrived at one of my middle schools to find that the elves had been in to decorate in my absence. My secretary, Val, surprised me with two new bulletin boards and several other displays including a reprise of the wrapped gift display case that we shared here previously. But this Rudolph in the Dark board made me laugh out loud. She found the idea here while searching online for holiday bulletin boards. We already had holiday books on display elsewhere so I went with the humor theme and displayed our jokes, comic collections, and humorous poetry under the bulletin board.

I decided to surprise her with an addition to the decor and built this book tree for her to find in the morning. This was an idea I saw on Pinterest a year ago. I dragged out our bound copies of National Geographic to make this library tree, added a book for a “star” and strung some lights around it. The students and staff love it.
