Summer is NOT over…

Cindy: School may be back in session but with temps in the 80s and 90s and many of our schools without air conditioning, it sure feels like summer. As I decorated display cases a few weeks ago I was still clinging to the last days of leisurely summer activities while still preparing to go back to school. When I happened upon a bin of 50-cent beach buckets in bright colors at our local Michael’s craft store, I bought one in every color. I added some beach balls and a beach towel and some banners that read, “Summer doesn’t have to end….you can read about it all year long!” Here are some shots from the displays at both of my middle schools:

The possibilities are endless…add some seashells, bottles of bubble juice…whatever. I’m just not ready for pumpkins and fall leaves just yet!
