Wrung Out from Reading

I don’t understand the psychological need that it fulfills, but some readers really enjoy getting punched in the gut by a book… The building warmth in the bridge of your nose, signaling a totally unstoppable onslaught of tears… Putting the book down to go get a tissue and then picking up that same awful book that made you cry!
