Don’t Miss the Booklist Youth Forum – June 22

ALA Annual Conference in Anaheim in less than a week away!  Both of us at Bookends will be attending so stay tuned for lots of conference reports and information on the great new books we discover.  We are faithful attendees at the Booklist Youth Forum too.  It is always a wonderful program and this year is no exception.  Don’t miss it if you are in Anaheim!  Here is this year’s program information from Booklist:

By tradition, Friday nights at ALA Annual Conference belong to the Booklist Youth Forum. We are especially excited to announce our 2012 panelists, a who’s who of popular authors outspoken on this year’s topic: “Guy Writers Talk Guy Readers.”

Michael Grant, author of the bestselling Gone series and the new novel BZRK.
Jon Scieszka, former National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature and creator of the Guys Read project.
Andrew Smith, author of acclaimed novels including The Marbury Lens.
Lemony Snicket, author of A Series of Unfortunate Events (plus his “representative” Daniel Handler, author of the Printz Honor-winning Why We Broke Up).

“Guy Writers Talk Guy Readers”

Friday, June 22  from 8pm-10pm at the Anaheim Convention Center in Ballroom A.

The event will be moderated by Booklist Books for Youth Senior Editor Daniel Kraus, author of the award-winning YA novel Rotters.
