Echo reading for beginning readers

Audio + book = fluency. Parents & teachers have long used audiobooks to enhance literacy. Now kids have picture book apps – in my opinion read-along audiobooks on steroids – to achieve the same goals. Watch the video below to see how first graders use OceanHouse Media’s Dr. Seuss apps to echo read. My three year old granddaughter loves book apps on my Android phone & Kindle Fire – can’t wait to introduce the idea of echo reading with her!
