But this month has been a trip-to-Costco-with-a-minivan kind of month for book awards. From the Pulitzer, to the Orion Book Awards, to short-list announcements for the Arthur C. Clarke Award, the RITA Awards, and the Hugo Awards, we’ve got a fully stocked larder of exceptional books to read. The Indies Choice Awards, given to titles “reflecting the spirit of independent bookstores nationwide”, and the E.B. White Read-Aloud Awards, “which reflect the playful, well-paced language, the engaging themes, and the universal appeal to a wide range of ages embodied by E.B.
