Web Crush of the Week: Los Angeles Review of Books

Well, maybe I should say this site will be one of our crushes – it fully launches next week, April 8th.

LARB features traditional essays and reviews, audio and video, a database of the publishing industry, a new podcast series and much more.  It’s been around for a bit but is doing a full launch, with a new design which lets visitors explore  by author or genre, with sections dedicated to everything from books, film, art and music to politics, culture and more.

They blog regularly at http://blog.lareviewofbooks.org/.

It’s a free site, but they are looking for membership donations through the University of California, Riverside Foundation. Members receive a subscription to the  LARB ePub series.
