Caught on video

Zac Fletcher’s performance while recording The Naughty Nork shows Full Cast Audio founder (and author) Bruce Coville’s dedication to casting age-appropriate narrators. Last year, Bruce posted on the Full Cast Audio website

For those of you who have been wondering why we have not yet recorded the fifth book in my MOONGOBBLE AND ME series, the answer is simple: our brilliant  young narrator, Ryan Sparkes, outgrew the role. Or, to be more precise, his voice changed.

Dang kids keep growing up on us.

The good news is, Ryan continues to work with us. It’s just that we have to cast him in older parts.

The bad news is, his maturing voice left us without an Edward.

Happily, I can now report that, after a year of searching, we have found our new Edward! Last week young Zac Fletcher came into the office and gave an audition that just blew us away. He has the acting chops, the reading skill, and the voice we’ve been looking for. Now we can’t wait to get this one into the studio!

Looks like Zac has lived up to that audition in this simply adorable video!

And for those of you who followed Bruce Coville’s riviting Facebook posts from Egypt, as he and author Elizabeth Levy found their visit to speak at the Schutz American School in Alexandria turn into an immersion in the revolution, be sure to read Rocco Staino’s wonderful interview in School Library Journal, Coville, Levy Return Safely from Egypt.
