Gary Paulsen records own books

Great video interview on audiobooks & the writing  process from a literary icon. Children’s & YA lit expert Ed Spicer, host of the SpicyReads blog and the SpicyGuyReader YouTube channel, captured this quintessentially Paulsen informal chat on film during Paulsen’s recording of his books My Life in Dog Years and  Puppies, Dogs, and Blue Northers for Brilliance Audio, available in February. This near 10-minute clip reveals personal details of Paulsen’s childhood, the emotional experience of narrating his own writing, and what brought Paulsen to tears in the studio. Brilliance has twelve Paulsen titles either ready to ship or on the Spring release list, voiced by a roster that includes the author as well as Dion Graham & Nick Podehl, narrators that have appeared on Odyssey Award Honor titles. Thanks, Ed, for this wonderful treat!
