This isn’t strictly movie-related, but it does relate to a previous post about Bret Easton Ellis’s American Psycho, and it’s just too delightfully weird not to mention it here.
According to this article at shocktillyoudrop.com, there is going to be a stage musical based on the novel. As a fan of the book, and its brilliant movie adaptation, I’m intrigued by the idea of an American Psycho musical. Whether it succeeds, or falls flat on its face, depends on two things, I think: the actor who plays Patrick Bateman, and the way the director approaches the story’s frequent blurring of reality and fantasy.
What do you think? Are you excited, or repulsed, by the idea?
