June is Audiobook Month

Two great articles from BooklistOnline to celebrate: Sue-Ellen Beauregard’s Fall Audiobook Preview 2009 will help you get your order list ready to submit with tons of terrific new audiobooks for adults, YAs, and children. Joyce Saricks’ At Leisure column this month is Audiobooks: The Acid Test where she shares her audiobook addiction and her preferences – OK, prejudices – on what makes for great listening, especially on long summer car trips. I’ll be listening in the car myself this weekend, as we travel to my younger son’s wedding. You can be sure I’m taking along both a bag of CDs and an iPod loaded with listening!

Mrs. Burkey! I recently started reading your blog, after taking a Readers’ Advisory class from Joyce Saricks (you guessed it, I’m in Library School.) Can’t believe Paul’s getting married, this has been a big year for the family! Let’s catch up.
