Fantasy Road Trip!

Got kids? How about students? Or teen advisory board members? Let them know about Listening Library’s “Fantasy Road Trip Contest!”   Teens between 13-18 years old may enter the contest by creating a video about these favorite book series: The Gemma Doyle Trilogy (The Sweet Far Thing), the Beka Cooper series (Bloodhound), and the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series (The Last Olympian). Here are details from the website:

Win an 8GB iPod Touch and Signed Audiobooks!

If you could go on a fantasy road trip with a character (or characters!) from your favorite series, where would you go? What would you do along the way? How would you travel? Create a video and show us!

Best selling authors Libba Bray, Tamora Pierce and Rick Riordan will judge the videos and choose 3 grand prize winners!

Check the Fantasy Road Trip Contest website for details, or print out this entry form. There are fun quirky challenge requirements for the video, and hey – the prizes are an iPod Touch and autographed audiobooks! I wish I could enter! If you have a Flip video camera in your library, making a contest entry would make a great teen program event. And if you have teens at home, they’ll probably be making YouTube videos during the summer, so why not try to win?  I’ll be checking the Listening Library YouTube channel for the entries- here’s more info…
