Happy Thousandth-Post Day

That last post was #1,000 for Likely Stories. Hard to believe, isn’t it? It seems like just yesterday (well, March 22, 2006) that this blog was brand-new, both idealistic and eager to take its place in the exciting litblogosphere. And now it’s been aged beyond its years by tales of plagiarism, fraud, and the End of Publishing.

Fortunately, there’s been some good news, too. I can’t think of any at the moment, but I’m pretty sure there was some good news in there somewhere.

Anyway, what better time to make some changes? We’ve welcomed Courtney Jones, and now Daniel Kraus–stay tuned, there are more Booklisters coming soon.

And now, I’m going for a drink.

(And by “now,” I mean at the end of the proscribed working day, naturally.)
