Teen Tech Week March 8-14: Perfect for promoting the Odyssey Award & audiobooks!

Have you seen the graphics on the Teen Tech Week 2009 promo items? Perfect for your audiobook section! Teen Tech Week is a great time to hold a “How to download audiobooks for free” demo, calling on Teen Advisory Board members as the experts. Maybe even send the show on the road to the Senior Center, with teens showing grandparents how to download bestseller right to their home computer – no need to travel to the library in the snow!

I wish ALA would expand the Listen poster selections – perhaps featuring the Odyssey Award winners? And have you ordered Odyssey Award seals to promote the award in your collection? Why not add some clips from the Odyssey Award winner & honor titles to your library website, featuring the titles for Teen Tech Week? I’ll be adding links on my blog to any available publishers’ clips after the 2009 Odyssey titles are announced on Monday, January 26th!
