A New Blogger on the Awards Beat

Courtney Jones

Allow me to introduce Courtney Jones, a new blogger at Likely Stories. As the editorial assistant for both Booklist‘s Books for Youth section and Booklist Online, Courtney has impressed all of us with her highly adaptable skillset, her tireless work ethic, and her unflagging good nature. (And she’s only been with us since July!) Starting today, Courtney will be taking the book-awards beat for Likely Stories, and I have every reason to expect that she’ll do a better job than I have at keeping you informed of the merry-go-round of glad-handing, back-scratching, and check-cashing during the awards season.

I’m not going anywhere, but after writing nearly a thousand posts since the blog’s inception in 2006, I’ve decided that it’s time to make some changes. (And change certainly seems to be in the air today, doesn’t it?) Look for some fresh voices and new angles over the next few months.

Welcome, Courtney!
