In Case You've Forgotten What You Can Find inside the Library

I like books, and I like libraries–and I think parking garages definitely need a makeover–but this still didn’t work for me. A little theme park-y, maybe?

It’s the parking garage for the Kansas City Public Library, as photographed by Jonathan Moreau. (Spotted by Ben Segedin, Booklist’s Production Director.)

  1.' Pete says:

I liked that design the first time I saw it online, but now on second glance I’m bothered by the proportions. Charlotte’s Web was something like only 125 pages long, but the way it’s presented in that garage it looks like a massive tome, like a William Vollman novel or something. And Romeo and Juliet looks even bigger.

  2. Dudes, We can take it outside to the parking lot, if you like. It’ll be a short walk for me.

  3. Keir says:

I thought we might hear from you, Marian. Pete, your comment about Charlotte’ Web made me laugh.

  4. Heh. ‘s cool. My Dir of Public Affairs thought it was a great post!
