Coben Update

I haven’t forgotten about my pledge to read a book by Harlan Coben. It’s taking me longer than I planned, but I did take the first step last night: I bought a copy of The Woods.

About the Author:

Keir Graff is Executive Editor of Booklist Publications and the author of five books. His most recent is the middle-grade novel, The Other Felix (2011). Follow him on Twitter at @Booklist_Keir.

You bought it? Why not check it out of the library?

  2. Keir says:

Well, I happened to be in a bookstore that had a copy. And when you’ve got a tight schedule and two little kids, you seize any opportunity to save an errand.

But as much as I support libraries, I support book-buying, too. Without bookstore purchases, authors would have a hard time writing and publishing those books that ultimately end up in libraries.

(And it’s not as if bookstores aren’t closing all over the place, too.)

If reading is the goal, I say “by any means necessary”–let’s use all the modes of delivery.
